The Fink School of Traditional Art began as the Randallstown School of Art in 1965, and established its main studio in Reisterstown in 1995. Director Alan Fink (www.alanfink.com) has been painting professionally and teaching for over 39 years. Our mission is to provide the best in classical fine art instruction to both beginners and non-beginners from ages 7 to adult.
 
Instruction is individual within the class and is presented in a relaxed, constructive environment. Students work at their own pace and comfort level, beginning with basic charcoal drawing and progressing into pastels and oils- the emphasis being on fundamentals as opposed to any particular style.  Portfolio development for all levels from middle school to college is offered on an individual basis. Magnet school preparation is a specialty.

  
Our adult classes have been described by our students as the "most relaxed, stress-free 2 hours of the week".
Many of our adult students used to draw and paint, and many are pure beginners who have always wanted to draw or paint and find that our system of teaching enables them to begin creating fine art very quickly.
